E-911 Location Based Services
- MobileComm Professionals Inc. offers professional services to assist network planning, and associated antenna system design of Location Services. Services offered are:
- Site Verification/auditing (GSM/CDMA)
- Calibration (for CDMA) Calibrate each base station using measurement antenna, precision GPS, scanner and spectrum analyzer to measure the time offset between the transmitting antenna and base station.
- Propagation Model Tuning (for GSM) The reliability and accuracy of the position obtained depend on the precision of the radio predictions therefore requires accurate maps of base station coverage. Our professionals will tune RF propagation model using drive test data which will ensure correct predicted coverage of the existing network helping in accurate planning of the Location Services Network.
- RF Planning (for GSM) Once all sites are verified and propagation model is tuned the Location Measurement Unit network will be designed to meet the required accuracy using the minimum hardware (LMU density) with least impact on the present network.
- System Optimization/Verification (GSM/CDMA) MobileComm Professionals Inc. will test the system to meet the network criteria. Static tests will be performed at multiple indoor and outdoor locations in order to assure system performance. In addition dynamic testing shall be also be performed at constant velocities in multiple areas.
- Network Optimization (GSM/CDMA) MobileComm Professionals Inc. can also help the operator to optimize the network with capacity and coverage issues by utilizing the reports and location data available after the implementation of Location Services. Location Services can be used to identify geographic areas of dropped calls, high interference, poor coverage and areas with capacity requirement.
